Morgan Kelly has a chapter in the book I've edited. Getting ready for the promotional part of the book, I went looking for something a few minutes ago, and found a succession of my own posts on this blog referencing Professor Kelly. Reading through the posts, the turn is fascinating. I go from thinking, more than a little sarcastically, 'wow, this guy is a bit out there, perhaps another Roubini' to wholly agreeing with him. This guy got it right. I have the image of the patient bleeding from two wounds in my mind when I speak about fiscal policy and banking policy, and most of the time, it's Kelly's assessment I'm rehashing, I suppose, in one form or another.
So: three cheers for Morgan Kelly. Time really does make fools of us all. Well, me at least.
Stephen, we've all being their before when we've made mistakes and time has proven us wrong. The best thing to do is admit it and move on.
Anyways, where is Morgan Kelly these days. I never see him on the TV, or hear on the radio or read about him in the press?
