Here are the lecture notes for this week. Click here to learn the history of general equilibrium, and here for a nice graphical exposition by John Hey.
Here's a screencast on this lecture's material.

Hi Stephen,
Is there any audio available for this lecture? Thanks.
Hi John, I'm going to re-do a large part of that lecture to help make sense of the general equilibrium problem for distance students.
Hi,
I didn't see anything about Budget Constraints vs. Indifference Curves covered in the lecture but it came up on the General Equilibrium Aplia exam and threw me off, is there any notes for how to do this that i have missed? thanks
Hi Colin,
Not everything can be covered in lectures-the examinable material comes from the textbooks, lecture notes, as well as your own research and study-will all combine to help you pass the exams.
Best,
Stephen
Just out of interest what software are you using in this screen-cast? I know your using screen-flow to record but to draw etc?
Regards Aidan
It's a program called Scribbles from http://www.atebits.com/, written on a tablet. I love it so far, but finding the time to organise the material, record it, extract & upload it, etc, is a pain at the moment. I haven't been able to find a regular slot in the day to make screencasts just yet. So a work in progress!
