Instead of finishing my overdue book, minding my kids, or finishing off any number of projects, I'm spending way too much time reading Lance Taylor's Maynard's Revenge. Taylor taught me macroeconomics at the New School. This book is superb, if densely written, and I'll write a longer review piece when I get time. It's the kind of book that generates as many notes as it has sentences. Here's a lecture Taylor gave at Google on the subjects of the book.
'the collapse of free market macroeconomics'
Huh? What free market?
Happy New Year Mossy, the free market in the title is the one assumed by the type of macro Taylor very skillfully pulls to bits.
Happy New Year Stephen!
