October is going to be a busy, travel-filled month. Here's the list of conferences and workshops I'm attending or ranting at in October. November looks kind of the same, already. Having typed up this list, I'm quite excited by all of these meetings. Click the links to see why.
October 3, Irish Society of New Economists @ NUI, Galway.
October 8, Ireland's Knowledge Economy in the 21st Century: Educational Perspectives @ Edward Worth Library Dublin.
October 10, Dublin Economics Workshop Annual Conference @ Kenmare.
October 18, Pluralism in Economics: rethinking the teaching of economics @ City University, London.
October 29-31, Tutorial Workshop in Nonlinear Modelling in Economic Dynamics, @ CEEL, Trento, Italy.
It's all a bit much, especially as son number 2 has to be christened somewhere in there, but you've got to remember Prufrock (via Vela Velupillai):
"There will be time, there will be time
To prepare a face to meet the faces that you meet;
There will be time to murder and create,
And time for all the works and days of hands
That lift and drop a question on your plate;
Time for you and time for me,
And time yet for a hundred indecisions,
And for a hundred visions and revisions,
Before the taking of toast and tea."
